Top marks for Menstrual Cycle Support course, says Health Tech Regulator
The Organisation for the Review and Care of Health Apps (ORCHA) has scored our CPD accredited free Menstrual Cycle Support eLearning course for those suffering with their menstrual cycle a well-above-average 82% in our first compliance review, meaning the course will be included on ORCHA's App Library designed for clinicians to find trusted sources to signpost patients.
The review measured against over 350 international health tech standards and regulations, including those on the NHS Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC), such as data privacy & security, clinical & professional assurance and accessibility & usability.
With thousands of unregulated health and wellbeing apps available on the market, clinicians use the ORCHA App Library to ensure their referral to a safe and assured digital service.
The free multimedia short course - a period pain and menstrual distress management programme available on social prescription across the UK, helps participants to create a three month cycle 'diary' that can be used in healthcare appointments. It supports anyone suffering with their cycle, including those with peri-menopause, heavy menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, PMDD, PCOS, PMS, fibroids, irregular cycles and period pain.
Social prescribers from over 150 GP Surgeries are actively referring clients to the course and have joined our digital Referral Directory, showing their commitment to supporting those seeking support beyond with their menstrual cycle.
